Nostalgia, elation, and loneliness that one suddenly remembers when traveling alone. Formed in 1988 by Hiroyuki Hatta and Hideyuki Ikumatsu, Quiet Village is reminiscent of the techno/rock fusion of the 70s and 80s, but pursues melodies and grooves that are not influenced by the times. In 2008, they participated in Taeko Onuki's cover collection "Sound Bouquet"; in 2014, they released "THE DAYS", an album themed on the mental landscape of travel; in 2015, they participated in the railroad compilation album "Koisuru Tetsudo (Universal)". The "Village Festival," named after the band's name, was held almost every year from 2005 to 2020 at Tsukimiru Kimi Soufu. Although interrupted by the Corona disaster, the "Village Festival" will be held in 2024 for the first time in four years, which will also serve as a live concert for the release of this album. The leader of the group, Hatta, is known as a train enthusiast, having ridden all JR trains (including the former Japan National Railways and the former JR Third Sector) in 2007. He is also an ardent supporter of JEF United Chiba, and he has been taking full advantage of his travel knowledge to support the team at away games around the country, and has been writing essays about his travels on Toyo Keizai Online.
