Marjorie Noel, the French pop singer whose hit song "Gentle Breeze" was covered by many female singers in Japan, including The Peanuts, Yukari Ito, Mieko Hirota, Saori Minami, and Mariya Takeuchi, has released her first real 2CD best album! The album is the first full-fledged 2CD best of Marjorie Noël! In the mid to late 1960s, Japanese pop fans were captivated by the voices of young European female singers. The records of these cute girls, who were around 20 years old and had idol-like qualities, were introduced one after another and dominated radio music programs, leading to a boom in the music industry. There seemed to be a kind of dreamy longing for these girls who sang in French, Italian, and Spanish, which were unfamiliar to them, unlike the English they had learned in junior high school and high school (as experienced by the author). From France, Sylvie Bartin, France Gal, Shayla, Chantal Goya, Françoise Aldi, Annie Philippe, Chantal Kelly, and of course Marjorie Noël. And of course Marjorie Noel.
