The rare and rare recordings of Phuong Tam, a rock and roll diva who disappeared with the fall of Saigon, have finally been revived! It was the early 1960s, the dawn of rock 'n' roll in Saigon, South Vietnam. A 16-year-old girl named Phuong Tam was one of the first rock'n'roll singers to excite the city of Saigon. However, her career was cut short when Saigon fell. This album contains 25 of her rare and precious songs that have not been re-released for more than half a century. The tracks of Phuong Tam's heyday, when she sang with a punchy, fresh voice over authentic Americanized surf, twist, and R&B sounds, have been brought back to life through diligent collection activities and careful restoration work. Full-color liner notes in both Vietnamese and English, filled with rare photos, and full lyrics in a separate volume!
