This was a live performance in Tokyo in Anselme's last year. Anselme had already retired from the Orchestre de la Romande at that time, but it was his conducting that attracted more attention than his successor, Krecki, who gave an impeccable and convincing performance. Anselme, too, is a conductor who burns up in the performance, and the thrills and explosions of fantasy are tremendous. The sense of despair in "Landscape in the Field" was also irresistible. He is also an authority on ballet music, and the flamboyance and athleticism of "La Valse" are unbelievable for an 84 year-old conductor. This is a good stereo recording provided by the family of a former member of the orchestra, who was distressed by the terrible sound quality of the previously released CD. MQA is a unique method developed by Bob Stewart, which he calls "music folding paper," and its main feature is that it allows high-resolution sound to be stored in a small amount of space. It reduces the "blurring" of sound on the time axis of digital audio. The quality of the sound extraction is also apparent even when playing back on a normal CD player. The above features are often misunderstood, but even if the original is 44.khz, the MQA mastering process makes the best use of the above features. 24bit/96khz mastering.
