Laid Back was formed in 1979 by Tim Stahl and John Guldberg, two Danish musicians who established their popularity in the 80's with hits like "White Horse" and "Sunshine Reggae". The unit consists of two Danish musicians, Tim Stahl and John Guldberg. The duo has spun songs for the likes of Larry Levan, Chris Coco, and DJ Harvey, and are now back with their latest album, 2023, a Scandinavian treasure that is gaining support in the current club scene.All songs, including the preceding singles "My Baby Blue" and "Groovy Sunshine," are moderately groovy and danceable, with a subtle mix of elements ranging from boogie and tropical to blues and downtempo, and the balance between live sound and hammering is exquisite, The result is a series of miraculous sounds that are the perfect embodiment of Balearic.
