Chad Allan] A compilation of 25 tracks from the early days of the Guess Who, Canadian rock treasures who broke onto the international scene with their 1970 hit "American Woman". The Guess Who became one of Canada's leading rock bands with their worldwide hit "American Woman" in 1970, but they have a long history, making their album debut in 1966 with "It's Time," an album influenced by The Animals and The Kinks. The songs are taken from Chad's single "AB Side" plus the first three albums as a tribute to Chad Allan, the founder and driving force behind the group, who passed away earlier in the year, and are a collection of songs that were picked up from the British beat to the original sound when future hit makers Randy Bachman and Burton Cummings met. The songs are a valuable record from both the band's point of view and that of the Canadian scene, as it chronicles the process of moving from British beats to the original sound of the band.
