Oscar Brown Jr. was a singer, actor, poet, composer, playwright, and civil rights activist, and his early works have been revived here. The first album "Sin & Soul" is a coupling of "In a New Mood" including "Work Song" used in TV commercials in the late 80's and "Afro Blue" featured by John Coltrane and recently by Robert Glasper. Ralph Burns of the film "All That Jazz" was basically in charge of arranging and conducting the former. The second album has a variety of good songs such as M-7 for club DJs and M-3 for Duke Ellington, and the first album, his first album and highly acclaimed masterpiece, is a collection of Oscar's outpouring of talent supported by the British mods scene.
