Gorgeous 60's pop music blooming with rich classical motifs! This is finally the fifth in the series supervised by up-and-coming music selector Shigo Marume. Following on the heels of idol songs and hard rock, the all-day analysis of the series is finally in the stronghold of classical music. Starting with the rock version of Fuciuk's "Gladiator's Entrance" quoted in the arrangement of Tatsuro Yamashita's "Circus Town", welcome to the kaleidoscopic world of pop music, where a rich musical heritage including Bach, Chopin, Brahms, Mozart, Beethoven, and many others are masterfully cooked up! The result of this original research was expected to be a prestigious and challenging compilation, but it turned out to be one of the best in the series, a "hidden treasure trove of pop music". The compilation also features a rare single by Van Dyke Parks (M-18), a young (teenage!) Carol Beyer Sayre (M-17), and a song from the 1960s, "The Rise and Fall of the Souls. M-18, a rare single by Van Dyke Parks, M-8 by a young (teenage!) Carol Beyer Sager for Diane & Anita, M-9, a beautiful chorus number with no questions asked, and many other unknown hidden gems.The blissful song list, flanked by All Days Records regulars such as Nancy Sinatra, the Walker Brothers, Meena, the Shangri-Las, and Doris Day, closes with the "Canon" quoted in the national song "Christmas Eve.
