This is the 32nd album of Yoichi Kobayashi, who turns 70 this year. Recorded live in collaboration with Vincent Herring (as), Eric Alexander (ts), and the Japanese quintet JJM. This is Yoichi Kobayashi's 32nd CD. Furthermore, I will turn 70 years old (koki) on November 21 this year, and next year will mark the 48th year since the quintet was formed. The year 2023 has been busier than ever for me, with a 2-week trio tour of western Japan in the spring, a 3-day Sapporo trio tour in June, a 1-month The Battle Japan tour in July and August, a 1-week The Battle Korea tour in August, a 2-week JJM Hokkaido Tohoku tour in September and October, and many more tours. It has been a year of joyful screams. It was especially meaningful that we were able to invite Vincent Herring (as) and Eric Alexander (ts) from New York for the first time in four years to collaborate with the Japanese quintet JJM on a live recording. This album was recorded at a concert in Iruma City in the midst of the tour. Please enjoy the thrill and realism of the live performance and the energy of the musicians.
