The culmination of Hanya Lani's ambient world: live performances in Warsaw and London on CD from the release tour of her recent 2-CD set "GHOSTS". A world of ultimate beauty woven by the sounds of electronics and string ensembles. In recent years, Hanya Lani has released a series of albums of mainly instrumental film music, such as "Music for Film and Theater" (2021) and "On Giacometti" (2023). The double album "GHOSTS" released in October 2023 was a vocal and electronic work reminiscent of the former "Home" (2020) and featured guest appearances by Auravul Arnalds, Patrick Watson, Duncan Bellamy (Portico Quartet), and others. The album became a hot topic as a work featuring guest appearances by Auravul Arnalds, Patrick Watson, and Duncan Bellamy (Portico Quartet). Immediately after its release, the album underwent a large-scale release tour in Europe, the U.S., and Canada, and Hanya selected "Nostalgia" as the "best performance" from the live recordings made at all the venues.The selected songs are from the performances (title track only) at the recording hall/studio "S1" in the "Polish Radio" in Warsaw on 10/6, the day of release, and at the concert hall "Roundhouse" in London on 10/26. The members are almost the same as those on the "GHOSTS" album, with Jemowit Klimek (bass, moog), who defined the sound of the "Home" album, and a string ensemble (3 violins, 2 violas, 4 cellos) formation that also participated in past albums. Hanya plays the piano/keyboards as well as the drum machine, and also provides vocals on four songs, which have been deepened and beautified. As on the "GHOSTS" album, the sound is a minimalist post-classical soundscape that blends electronic treatments with the textures of analog instruments and a deep resonance. It is covered with visual sounds that naturally draw you in with the too-beautiful melodies and Hanya's vocals. The album title was inspired by his own feelings of nostalgia and longing when he visited "S1" a few months after this concert in Warsaw.It also has to do with the fact that the performance of the song at the London show was so great.
