Description:
Polish jazz has been attracting a lot of attention since Swavek Jaskiewicz started his career. This is the world's first Polish Jazz Piano Compilation, which is a showcase of contemporary Polish Jazz with the theme of "piano" and a selection of sounds with a variety of personalities that cannot be summed up by the term "European Jazz. The music was selected by Mr. Horacio, a leading expert in introducing this genre. The music is diverse in composition and sound, including neo-classical string performances as well as the usual piano trio formation, and yet the beautiful melodic sensibility and Euro-folk sensibility typical of this country, as represented by Chopin, are always apparent and fresh in the sound image. All songs are on CD for the first time in Japan. All of the artists on this album are top-class contemporary Polish jazz musicians.The program includes a chamber jazz suite with a string orchestra by Swavek Jaskiewicz, a multinational trio formed by genre-defying superstar Leszek Moszygiel, a trio by Marcin Wasilewski, who is one of ECM's signature artists, and a piano duo with Swavek Jaskiewicz. Piotr Wielejow, a pianist at the cutting edge of contemporary Polish jazz who also forms a duo, and other top musicians of the country, will surprise you with the high level of their performances and compositions.
