Yamamoto Naozumi

Description:

This is true genius! Naozumi Yamamoto + New Japan Philharmonic Brahms: Symphony No. 1, Beethoven: Symphony No. 9, and an enjoyable introduction to orchestral music in his later years Naozumi Yamamoto (1932-2002) was a conductor whose musical activities ranged from comedy to seriousness, from hard to soft conducting. His death would be classified in the category of premature death for a conductor. His true spirit as a conductor is recorded here. The oldest concert of the orchestra was the 3rd subscription concert of the All-Brahms Pro, which was filled with the spirit and enthusiasm of the birth of a new orchestra. The soloist, Mr. Lesser, gave his approval for the release of this recording. The Bra 1 is Naozumi Yamamoto's signature piece, and there are probably not many performances in the world that are as passionate as this one. Naozumi Yamamoto's "Ninth" is well known as "Ten Thousand Ninths," but this is the first recording of the Ninth in his repertoire. The early tempo and frank Toscanini-style approach to the Ninth, which is extremely orthodox, are truly moving. The fact that the Ninth was performed with the Shin Yūkai Chorus at a time when the ensemble was gaining international recognition is also intriguing. The final performance is the "Introduction to Orchestral Music" from 2000, the last year of the Ninth's life.King International has released a CD in the same vein, but there is no overlap in the song list. The talk was interesting and educational. The final song, "Otoko wa Tsuraiyo" (Otoko wa Tsuraiyo) theme music, brought tears to my eyes. It would be fun to think again about how much Japanese music has been enriched thanks to Naozumi Yamamoto. It will be a pleasure to think again about how much Japanese music has been enriched thanks to Naozumi Yamamoto. The detailed liner notes by Katsuhiko Shibata are also a must-read. Tobu Shoji Co.
