Acoustic guitarist Kotaro Oshio's new album has arrived! PASSENGER" is like a collection of postcards written while traveling around the world. In addition to "Winter Harureruya feat. Kohei Ueno (2020 MBS Weather Department winter theme song)," a collaboration with saxophonist Kohei Ueno, a short version of which was already released as a music video in January this year, "GOLD RUSH" contains a message of moving forward toward the light, and "EDENGER" depicts a paradise for future children. EDEN" depicts a paradise for future children, "Shanghai Lover" combines 12-string guitar and exotic sounds, "Smoky Slider" uses fretless guitar for a shocking sound, "Weekend Trip" features a lovely ensemble of Papoose and Sting, and "Heart" is a ragtime style song that can be said to be Oshio's roots. The song "Heart Break Cats" has a ragtime style, "Boku no Boku" is like listening to J-Pop from the 80's, and "Asagao" is a ballad featuring a baritone guitar. This time around, a whopping 16 different guitars were used for the recording of 15 songs.
