This album is a 1978 work. This is David Gilmour's and Pink Floyd's first solo album as a member of Pink Floyd. After the massive "Animals" tour, he gathered his old friends and started production in late 1977. It was recorded in France with bassist Rick Willis, a member of Joker's Wild before joining Floyd, drummer Willie Wilson, a member of Newcomers before forming Joker's Wild, and Gilmour (production/guitar/keyboards). This album has a strong blues and folk flavor, removing the pretentious embellishments from Floyd's works. This is a return to Gilmour's roots as an excellent orthodox British rock guitarist with emotionally rich guitar solos. Cover design by Hypnosis.
