Description:

The debut album by Alexis French, a British "piano wizard" who was chosen to score the music for the Japanese film "The House Where the Mermaid Sleeps" (based on Keigo Higashino's best-selling novel), which will be released on November 16, 2011. The beautiful, tender, dramatic, and healing piano melodies of "Bluebird," which is used as a song for key scenes in the film, and other songs are visual and cinematic. The new album features a variety of guest collaborators, from world-renowned classical harpist Lavinia Meyer and Boston-based electro-folk duo Tall Heights to the Prague City Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Adam Clemens. Commentary included.
