This is the first new original studio album released in Japan in 10 years, since "Working Man's Cafe" in 2007. All 15 songs on the album are original new compositions, with Ray Davies writing the lyrics, composing and arranging the music. The Jayhawks were used as the backing band, and the recording was done at Conch, a studio established by the Kinks in 1973. The album was produced by Ray Davies, Guy Massey, who has worked with Spiritualized and Dr. John, and John Jackson. The album also includes a narration of excerpts from the memoir AMERICANA and a duet with Karen Grotberg of the Jayhawks. Includes commentary, lyrics, and bilingual translation.
