Born in 1948 in the southern state of Mississippi, he made his debut in 1970. This is his seventh album released after moving to Arista. In Japan, "I Go Crazy" was used as the theme song for the movie "Somehow, Crystal" (released in 1981, original story by Yasuo Tanaka), which became a revival hit, and was released in the midst of the AOR boom. The title track, with its mellow intro, reached No. 11 in the U.S. (No. 2 Adult Contemporary), and "Love Affair '65", a light rock and roll number, rose to No. 6 in the U.S., becoming the biggest hit of her career.
