This collection features the best tracks from various periods of his long career, spanning blues, R&B, funk, soul, and rock ’n’ roll! Recorded live on April 5, 2025, at The Triple Door in Seattle, Washington. Curtis Salgado was born in Washington State in 1954. He began his career in the 1970s as a member of the Robert Cray Band and contributed to their 1980 album *Who's Been Talkin'*. Around this time, he also developed a close friendship with John Belushi and is known for transforming him into Jake from *The Blues Brothers*. In 1982, he was selected as the frontman for Roomful of Blues, and in 1987, they released *Live at Lupo's Heartbreak Hotel*. In 1991, he formed his own band, Curtis Salgado & the Stilettos, released an album, and gained attention by touring with Steve Miller and Santana. He continued to release albums consistently, including *More Than You Can Chew* in 1995 and *Hit It N' Quit It* in 1996. His 2000 album *Soul Activated* earned him a nomination for a Blues Music Award. Since then, he has continued to release numerous recordings on Alligator Records, including *Soul Shot* in 2012 and *The Beautiful Lowdown* in 2016. His latest release is *Fine by Me* from 2024.
