Description:

Treasure Ark, a series of quality live recordings, recorded live in Edmonton, Canada on September 11, 1998 from the "Pilgrim" (1998) tour. One of the most passionate performances with a large band! Recorded live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada on September 11, 1998 from the tour for Eric Clapton's last original album in the 90's, "Pilgrim" (1998). Although "Pilgrim" was the first album of original studio songs recorded in nine years since "Journeyman" (1989), it was not well received by fans because of its hard-edged sound with a lot of hammering, but it was a sales success, which is not very comfortable for many. However, the album was a success in terms of sales. Contrary to the album's reputation, Clapton's performance on the tour was enthusiastic and extremely fulfilling. The touring band consisted of Clapton, Andy Fairweather Lowe, and Alan Darby on triple guitars, twin keyboards, and three members of the chorus, making for a large 10-piece lineup. This alone seems to convey Clapton's enthusiasm for the tour.Ricky Lawson was the drummer for the first leg, which toured North America, but was replaced by Steve Gadd for the second leg, which started in the fall. The strong sound of the rhythm section, together with Nathan East on bass, can be enjoyed at this show as well. The band continued touring with this lineup, and visited Japan in November of the following year, 1999. The setlist consisted of six songs from "Pilgrim" in a row, starting with the opening song. In fact, these first six songs are hotter than the hits and masterpieces that everyone knows from then on. Each song was played for a long time, and the passionate vocals and the guitar solos, which were played as much as possible, were truly masterful. Even if you were not satisfied with the sound on the album, this live performance will convince you. This is a must-listen.
