This is a live broadcast recording from a June 14, 1974 show at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, NY, just before the release of the hit best-of album "Endless Summer. The year 1974 was a time of transition and mystery for the touring lineup, and surprisingly few recordings were made for the number of shows that took place. Brian Wilson, who had stopped touring with the band since 1964, had been confined to his room due to the death of his father and manager, Marley Wilson, in 1973. Because of this, no original albums were released in 1974 and 1975, but the best-of album "Endless Summer," released 10 days after the show, was an extraordinarily big hit. The set list of the Beach Boys' live performances changed again to mainly songs from the 1960s, and the band became popular as one of the major live acts that symbolized the United States during this era.That change would lead to Brian's return to touring in 1976. This show was played just before those changes, at a time when Bruce Johnston, who left the band in 1972, and Blondie Chaplin, who left in 1973, were not present, and Dennis Wilson, who could no longer play drums due to injury, played keyboards. The first half of the show was centered around their latest album, "Holland," and songs from their work since the end of surfing in the early 70's. The second half of the show was centered around their newest album, "Holland. Among them, it is quite rare to see them play "We Got Love," a fantastic song that was not included in "Holland. This is a live recording from the last period of the band's musically fulfilling activities, and fans of the band will want to keep it.
