Ry Cooder

Description:

Ry Cooder plays acoustic guitar and mandolin with great taste in a calm atmosphere, and is known as one of the best solo performances among fans. On May 20, 1974, just before the release of his fourth album "Paradise Ranch", Ry Cooder performed a solo acoustic show at Denver's Ebbets Field, a venue with a capacity of only 200 people. The original recording was a live acoustic performance at Denver's Ebbets Field, a venue with a capacity of only 200. The original recording seems to have been broadcast by Denver rock station KCUV FM, but it was also broadcast by a Japanese FM station before that in the early 80's, and is considered a classic and one of the best performances among fans. Many people think of Ry Cooder as a slide player more than anything else, but his acoustic guitar and mandolin playing are also excellent, as a matter of course. There are some albums in which Rae played alone, but none in which he played the entire album by himself, so for those who want to enjoy Rae's guitar playing to the fullest, this live recording is perfect. It should be noted that a great many of the songs are only available here, and more than half of the total are not included on the original album. Starting with a cover of "Blind Break," the show proceeded in a friendly atmosphere with songs by Sleepy John Estes and Joseph Spence, both of whom Rae admires. The audience could hear Rae's brilliant acoustic guitar slide on Billy "The Kid" Emerson's "Crazy 'Bout an Automobile," a standard live song but not yet included on the album at this point, and Woody Guthrie's "Vigilante Man," also a standard song. You can listen to the brilliant acoustic guitar slides in "Crazy 'Bout an Automobile" by Woody Guthrie, another classic. Songs 12-15 are bonus tracks from a performance at the Bottom Line in New York City four days before the Ebbets Field show. This is another great solo performance by Rae.
