This is the only album (originally released in 1972) by the Manchester, England pub rock trio . The members are Paul McDowell (vocals), Chris Pye (vocals, acoustic guitar, bass, piano, percussion), and Jules Barnes (lead electric and acoustic guitar, bass). Burns recorded as a member of the five-piece Witches Brew on the 1979 omnibus album Honky Tonk Demos (biographical information on the other two is unknown). The band's "naughty" folk-rock sound is as if Heron had been transported out of the English countryside and into a London pub. The songs [9] and [12] are typical West Coast jazz vocal tunes, and although they are unique in the album, they have a good atmosphere, which is contrary to what I expected. Although there is little Britishness in this sense, the eclectic sound, which is a combination of 60's West Coast music and 70's pub rock, asserts its own musicality in a subdued way.Indigo Records, the label that released the album, is based at Indigo Sound Studios in Manchester. Other folk-related releases include Therapy's "One Night Stand" (1973) and Sharon People's first album, "Inside Looking Out" (1974).
