Very rare disc published in "Labyrinth 2002/ Labyrinth of British Folk Rock"! This is the only album released in 1978 (original release: 1978) by Aleana, a fresh Irish trad group consisting of two men and three women: John Higgins (banjo, mandolin), Kevin Higgins (bouzouki), Mandy Murray (consultina, vocals), Pauline Mahon (fiddle), and Angela Kersee (guitar, vocals). The only album released by the Irish trad group Aleana in 1978 (original release: 1978). All but two songs (by Mahon) are trad, with a total of 12 songs consisting of instrumentals (dance songs) and songs. The Irish Cultural Center in Hammersmith, London, is the source of all information about Ireland in Britain, and the producer of this album, Brendan Malker (born in Cork, Ireland), who is a fiddle player himself, has been playing fiddle since the 1970s.
