Two and a half years after their last album, "Light Waves," LUCA & There is a fox, a unit of two Japanese singer-songwriters, male and female, have completed their second album. Memory, emotion, and time are the themes throughout the album. Experiences and emotions that fold in and out of each other day by day like waves breaking on the shore. They are deeply engraved with time, and are sometimes lost just as they are. Everything that has form is layered like an infinite number of layers and constructed over and over again. The words and melodies, which seem to be a collection of fragments of memories, are spun beautifully and carefully with a gentle, clear voice and soft, delicate guitar as the base, spreading and becoming a piece of music. The album also includes a song with a Japanese poem, a first for an original. This collection of works takes us on a new journey of sound, while accompanying us in our daily lives even more than the previous works. Guest musicians on the album include Marihiko Hara (piano), Senoo Ricky (drums), Keitaro Kanamine (bass), and Kota Yamauchi (guitar), all of whom are active in various fields. Mixing and mastering was done by Toru Koda, a Kansai-based musician who has worked with numerous musicians. The artwork was created by Kotaro Yokomizo, a photographer based in Thailand.After the first digital release of this album in February, it was carefully mastered for analog vinyl and pressed in Japan by Toyo Kasei. The jacket and lyric cards were printed by Nissha Digital Printing (NDP) in Kyoto, Japan.
