Based in Scotland, UK, Hellripper formed the band in 2014, led by James McBain and influenced by legends such as Venom, Creator, and Metallica, and released their debut EP, THE MANIFESTATION OF EVIL, in early 2015, which brought the band to fame. In 2017, the band's first album "COAGULATING DARKNESS" was highly acclaimed by Metal Hammer magazine in their home country, earning them the nickname "Scotland's Mosh King" and putting them in the spotlight as an up-and-coming young metal band on the UK metal scene. In 2019, the band signed with Peaceville Records, the same label that produced Cradle of Filth, and will release their second album, THE AFFAIR OF THE POISONS, in 2020. In 2021 and 2022, the band will tour extensively together with supporting members, and will also perform as a live band.The third album, titled "Warlocks Grim & Wizard Hags," was created to highlight their homeland Scotland and its folklore and history. Here we have a vicious album that runs faster and harder, based on the musical background of 80's NWOBHM, the will of Venom. Bonus tracks include songs that have only appeared on Peaceville Records compilation albums.
