Rock band Human Impact is releasing its second album, Gone Dark. Gone Dark is not a cry from the darkness, but a cry through the darkness, a powerful declaration of resilience and defiance in the face of the oncoming apocalypse.With the addition of two noise-rock veterans, bassist Eric Cooper (Made Out of Babies, Bad Powers) and drummer Jon Syverson (Daughters), Human Impact's arsenal is more formidable than ever. Spencer was working out of a cabin in the woods of East Texas at the time of the 2020 Covid lockdown when he traveled to Austin for an informal jam session with the two in the bassist's garage.As a result of the friendly play of Unsane's old tunes, the rhythm section will be fully absorbed into the Unsane and Human Impact lineup for the 2022 European tour. Recorded at Austin's Cedar Creek Studio with co-producer Andrew Schneider (Ken Mode, Cave In), Gone Dark features Human Impac's taut grooves, bitter guitar shreds, fervent shouts and dark clouds of noise, with a fiercer, tighter upgrade.
