This ambitious year-long project has seen the release of a series of live albums featuring a number of guests. The fifth in the series, a live performance at the Sydney Opera House in Australia, is now available on CD exclusively in Japan. The final album in the series features only his own compositions that span his career. Houston, Texas trio Khruangbin concludes its year-long collection of live albums with "Live at Sydney Opera House. The album is comprised entirely of Khruangbin's own compositions and will be released on Dead Oceans in partnership with Night Time Stories Ltd. The album features songs like "A Calf Born in Winter," "Maria Tambien," "So We Won't Forget," "Shida," and "Friday Morning," recorded at one of the most famous venues on the planet, the Sydney Opera House. The album includes songs that span their careers. The band made a name for themselves among the myriad of stars who have taken the stage in November 2022, selling out three nights of shows in what would be their solo debut at the famed venue. Moreno, The Suffers, and Robert Ellis at Stubb's in Austin, Texas), "LIVE AT RADIO CITY MUSIC HALL" (featuring a live performance with Nubya Garcia at Radio City in New York City), "LIVE AT RBC ECHO BEACH" (featuring a live performance with Men I Trust at RBC Echo Beach in Toronto), and "LIVE AT THE FILLMORE MIAMI" (featuring a live performance with Toro Y Moi and others at The Fillmore in Miami). This is the follow-up to the ambitious year-long project. This ambitious year-long project was a tribute to Khruangbin's ever-sharpening live show. From our perspective, it was a truly spiritual experience to see people who had been isolated come together through song and dance as global restrictions gradually eased and the long awaited end of restrictions came to an end." To see and hear the audience sing along to the songs we presented during the pandemic and to feel so loved and accepted was immeasurable. We wanted to find a way to commemorate the trip and decided to release a series of live recordings, including artwork and photos from the shows, to celebrate the artists who performed with us. It was truly a memorable time," says Khruangbin.
