The album title, “SEHNSUCHT” (longing, yearning), symbolizes the yearning for something out of reach. Schönberg and Zemlinsky, who fled to the United States; Zeisler, who was consigned to oblivion by his exile; and Bosmans, who survived a harsh era in occupied Holland.
