Description:
Fasch is known as the founder of the Zingakademie Berlin and as one of the musicians involved in the revival and popularization of J.S. Bach's works. He composed many works for the Zingakademie, but his strict and ascetic character, which did not concern himself with the promotion of his works, led to the destruction of many of his works, and not many of his scores have survived. The 16-voice Mass, written in 1783, is sung along with the organ bass.
