Vincent Luca, principal flutist of the Orchestre de Paris, will discover the complete works for flute by veteran Serbian composer Ivan Jevtic (1947-). Having experienced the dismemberment of the former Yugoslav federation due to the Yugoslav conflict, Jevtic is influenced by 20th century Stravinsky, Prokofiev, Shostakovich, Debussy, and the traditional music of his native Serbia, but his works are most strongly influenced by his teacher, Messiaen.
