Description:

Amazing!!! Chabrier's "Spain" sounds like this when played by Lotto & Siecle. François-Xavier Lhoto, a brilliant conductor, won the Grand Prize of the Recording Academy Award for his recording of "The Rite of Spring" and "Petrouchka" on period instruments, and has taken the world by storm. The highly anticipated new recording is Spain through the eyes of a French composer. Although the two countries are neighbors across the Pyrenees, their music is quite different. A representative work on this theme is Chabrier's rhapsody "Spain," which was premiered in Paris in 1883 and became a popular masterpiece, but Mahler regarded it as "the beginning of modern music" and highly praised its progressive nature. I was intrigued by the first recording of this piece performed by period instruments, but this was unexpectedly fresh. I had a preconceived notion of the primary orchestral sound and high voltage, but Lhote and Les Siecle's performance is delicate and purely French. The modern sound, reminiscent of Ravel, is astonishing. The effect and tone of the harp are exquisite. Despite the familiarity of the content, the rhythm and ensemble of this piece are difficult, but Lotto's leadership makes it the ultimate in precision. It is also the first time that Massenet's work appears with period instruments, which is very welcome. The instruments of the time, especially the woodwinds, are perfectly suited to Massenet's soft colors, creating a world of pastel colors. Even more surprising is Ravel's "Morning Song of a Clown. This is amazing. The chemistry between the two was so good that one could feel that Ravel is the composer most suited to Lotto & Siecle. The sound of each instrument was so even, and the beauty and artificiality of the clear, elegant tones were a revelation. The beauty and artificial beauty of the clear, elegant sound was a revelation. The audience's "bravo" after the performance was understandable. The booklet of the concert clearly lists all the instruments used except for the strings, which is a valuable reference material. Lotto's performance was as brilliant as ever. The historical significance of the song, as well as its sharp rhythm and driving force, make it a fascinating Spanish song. King International
