The recordings are divided into three major categories according to the cities where they were made: London, Vienna, and Amsterdam. Some recordings are being released on CD for the first time. ● Joseph Klips is a conductor who was born and raised in Vienna and was known as a native Viennese. While working as Felix Weingartner's assistant, he joined the Vienna Volksoper as a choral conductor and became the permanent conductor of the Vienna State Opera in 1933. After the war, he took the Vienna State Opera to a world-class ensemble and served as principal conductor of the London Symphony Orchestra from 1950 to 1954. Cripps excelled at Mozart, for whom the composer was an eternal hero. You have to sound as if everything is by Mozart," he said. Otherwise, it's not a good performance. The set includes all of Cripps' monaural recordings for Decca, beginning with the October 1947 session at Kingsway Hall, and includes Mozart's symphonies, concertos, overtures, and arias originally released on 78rpm SP recordings, newly transferred for this set. transferred for this set. From the early LP era, there is the first complete recording of the opera "Abduction from the Hind Palace" by the cast of the Vienna State Opera, and the advanced "Requiem" recorded with an all-male chorus, including boys, in a cathedral, close to the world of Mozart. Combined with Decca's famous "ffrrr" sound of Haydn, Beethoven, Brahms, and Schubert symphonies, Schumann and Dvorak concertos, Johann Strauss waltz cycle, and Mendelssohn's Elijah, the Clips' mono recordings have a Mozart-like Mozartian tones are brought to life.
