MECHANIZATION TAKES COMMAND" was released on cassette tape in 1983 on Masami Akita's ZSF label. It mixes the freakish psychedelic and progressive touch of the late 1970s with improvised/free jazz sounds, using many instruments and sources such as electronics, loops, effects, rhythm machines, TV, vocal samples, and drums. The album also features intense Japanese noise and a tribal future-modern dance muzak while always maintaining the freaky touch of the 70's. This is Mertzbau! The cover artwork is by OEC. The cover artwork is by DARIO PONTRANDOLFO, the official graphic designer of OEC.
