Peter Frampton is a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, a guitar legend, a hit songwriter, and a kind-hearted man. In 2014, he was diagnosed with inclusion body myositis (IBM), a rare degenerative muscle disease. After completing his 2019 farewell tour, he had resolved to retire. But then he realized—he wanted to keep going until he could no longer do so. At 75, 50 years after his number-one album *Frampton Comes Alive*, he delivers a new album of original rock songs—his first in 16 years. *Carry The Light* was co-written with his son, Julian. The album was co-produced by Peter Frampton, Julian Frampton, and Chuck Ainlay. The 10-track journey captures the wisdom of life, colored by the youthful magic of rock ’n’ roll. The album features H.E.R. on guitar for “Islamorada,” Benmont Tench on keyboards for the lead single “Buried Treasure,” and Sheryl Crow lending her vocals to the duet “Breaking the Mold.” Bill Evans plays saxophone on “Tinderbox” and “Can You Take Me There,” Tom Morello adds his signature sound to “Lions At The Gate,” and Graham Nash provides harmonies on “I’m Sorry Elle.” Pressed on 180g yellow vinyl with cutting by Jeff Powell.
