During his time away from the band, Keely spent months of blissful peace and serenity hiking in the hills around Austin, walking his dog, cooking at home, and reading. Finally, having achieved the hippie lifestyle he had longed for since childhood, Keely says he began to dream of connecting himself with the golden generation of rock. In February 2021, the band members gathered for a series of chats and began work on this album.
