Jimi Hendrix: Live At Woodstock (1-CD Cut-Down Version), featuring some of his best-known songs from the legendary Woodstock show. Jimi formed the Gypsy Sun and Rainbows, a large band that included his old friend, bassist Billy Cox, as well as a side guitarist and percussionist, and performed at the Woodstock Festival. By this time, many of the audience had already left, and it is said that only about 25,000 people remained, but their performance of "Star Spangled Banner" (the U.S. National Anthem), which featured a lot of feedback playing, became a legendary song. The performance became legendary. This 1-CD version of the legendary Woodstock live performance, originally released on a 2-CD set, includes 10 of the band's best-known songs, including "Fire," "Voodoo Child," "Purple Haze," and "Hey Joe.
