Roger Trigault forever... A member of Univeral Zero in its early days, Belgian Prezan inherited the chamber rock sound established by Zero and established a sound that is even more vicious and violent. In 2014, they performed in Japan for the first time at the RIO Japan Festival, and their overwhelming performance power and one-of-a-kind presence make them a driving force in the RIO scene. In March 2021, while recording with a new lineup featuring François Mignot (g) of the French experimental band NI and Liesbeth Lambrecht (vln) of the Belgian chamber rock band ARANIS, the leader/composer Roger Trigault passed away. This is the final work of Trigault's Pleasan, contradicting the title "this is not the end". Composed entirely by Trigault, the result is a dazzlingly precise work that makes full use of repetitive rhythms, complex counterpoint, dense interplay between instruments, rapid modulations, and powerful attacks and syncopations.Although each part seems to come from a different angle, they ultimately come together as a single mass. According to Trigault, "I use endless repetitive melodies and polyrhythms, not only for the listener's benefit, but also to drive myself." Trigault's readings of Henri Michaux's poetry and Edgar Allan Poe's "Tell-Tale Heart" also add to the tension of the music, making it a highly accomplished work.
