His father, Ernst, is the principal of the Vienna Philharmonic, a popular orchestra in Japan, and his brother, Daniel, is a thoroughbred from a very elite clarinet family. While maintaining the traditional Viennese soft and meaty tone, Ernst has a functional and sharp flexibility that is in tune with the 21st century, and at a young age, he is able to compete with the best players of the Berlin Philharmonic.
