Daniele Piccinini (b/synth), ex-ACCORDO DEI CONTRARI, formed with Roberto Bernardi (drs) and Gabriele Martelli (g) from Italian prog/power metal band PROPHEXY after leaving the same band. The second album of this up-and-coming hard/psychedelic rock trio was released in 2011! Their debut album "INNER GOBI" was a power trio style album with only the three members playing, which brought back the 70's hard rock sound to the present day. This time, however, the band is boldly expanding its musical horizons, and features Donella Del Monaco of OPUS AVANTRA ('Sleeping Sand, Silent Cloud'vo), Silas Wynne ('Marsquake'key), son of Ed Wynne of OZRIC TENTACLES, and Riccardo Lolli of CENTRAL UNIT (' Special Order 937'key), Eric Gales ('Sleeping Sand, Silent Cloud'g),The album is based on stoner rock/psychedelic hard with elements of prog rock/space rock/jazz rock, led by a thick core of guitar/bass, and features a stellar lineup of guests from across the ages and genres, including Nicola Schelfi ('Ant Death Spiral' vib). It is a challenging album. The clear vibraphone ornamentation on "Ant Death Spiral" works beautifully as a counter to the band's ensemble, and Donella's mystic singing on "Sleeping Sand, Silent Cloud" leaves a deep aftertaste. The song 'Raptus' is fresh as the band's style, with its unrelenting development of mass-rock style.
