Description:
A performance of the soul delivered now, in this era! The "Hammerklavier" performed by Emaard, a solo pianist with overwhelming technique and expressive power! Pierre-Laurent Emaël, the winner of the 1973 Messiaen International Competition, is a highly acclaimed pianist who specializes in modern and contemporary works by Messiaen, Boulez, Ligeti, etc. The first release on the PENTATONE label, Messiaen's "The Birds" (KKC) is a masterpiece by Emaël. The first release on the PENTATONE label, Messiaen's "Catalogue of Birds" (KKC-5978/ PTC-5186670), was specially selected by Record Geijutsu magazine, and the same disc was ranked third in the "Best of the 30 Best Piano Discs" in the magazine's November 2020 issue's "2001 - 2020 21st Century Born" special feature, among the 100 best discs (piano edition). Emaar has produced many masterpieces as one of the best pianists of our time. Emaar has finally recorded Beethoven's great piece "Hammerklavier"! The "Hammerklavier" was scheduled to be performed with Messiaen during a concert tour of Japan in June 2020, but the performance was cancelled due to the spread of the new coronavirus. Emaar himself was in the midst of a period of continuous self-questioning in these difficult times, and he tackled this recording with all his might, tackling it head-on. Beethoven's Piano Sonata No. 29 "Hammerklavier" is a large work known for its difficulty.Emaar's controlled music creates a one-of-a-kind world, and his concentration never falters in this cosmically expansive work. The "Eroica" Variations, on the other hand, showcased Emaard's vivid colors. The mellow fragrance of each variation is also attractive. This is a performance of Emaar's soulful spirit that we would like to bring to this age. King International
