Russian pianist Arkady Volodos, known for his superb technique, presents his first new album in four years, a collection of Brahms pieces, completely unabridged! This time, he takes on the challenge of further exploration of his inner world. However, Volodos has already been performing Brahms' works in concert halls around the world from time to time, and his interpretations have been highly acclaimed. For this recording, a Steinway tuned by Michael Branges, one of the world's finest tuners, was prepared at Teldec Studios in Berlin. No editing was done, and each song was played over and over again until the best take of each song was finally selected, resulting in an album that faithfully conveys his current form and musicality.
