This 4-CD set contains 106 tracks (including 17 bonus tracks) from Charlie Parker's recording sessions for the Dial label. Alto saxophonist Charlie Parker (1920-1955) is one of the leading artists of the bebop era. This superb 106-track set includes complete recordings of his recording sessions for the Dial label. The set includes not only famous songs such as "A Night in Tunisia," "Cool Blues," and "All the Things You Are," but also the troubled "Lover Man," which was recorded during his amateur "Home Cooking" recording days right after he was released from a mental hospital in Camarillo, as well as "I Got Rhythm," which was recorded during his "I Got Rhythm" days. (including the complete version of "I Got Rhythm") are all included. As a bonus, three sessions from 1945 are added.4 songs released under the name Sarah Vaughan, 9 songs from the legendary sessions with Dizzy Gillespie, pianist Clyde Hart, and singer Rubberlegs Williams, and tests with trombonist and singer Clyde Barnhart and pianist Jay McShann. Includes a 20-page booklet.
