Cameristi della Scala, a chamber orchestra composed of members of the Orchestra La Scala in Milan, recorded Beethoven's 2nd and Mozart's "Haffner". The "Cameristi della Scala," a chamber orchestra composed of members of the Orchestra La Scala in Milan, was founded in 1982. Its main repertoire ranges from the 18th century to the present day, and it is also passionate about promoting and supporting the works of lesser-known composers. The orchestra has performed regularly with such musicians as Maxim Vengerov, Gautier Capuçon, Renaud Capuçon, Francesco Piemontage, Alexandre Kantorov, David Frey, Till Fellner, Daniel Müller-Schott, Sergey Babayan, and Alexei Volodin. In addition to regularly performing with world-class performers, the orchestra also features the principal of the Orchestre della Scala in Milan as a soloist. The album is conducted by Wilson Hermant, principal guest conductor since 2017, and features Beethoven's Symphony No. 2, the overture "The Creation of Prometheus," and Mozart's Symphony No. 35 "Haffner."The distinctive tone and phrasing nurtured by successive generations of the Orchestra della Scala in Milan can also be heard in this chamber orchestra, which has a very rounded and full sound.
