Their sixth studio album "SKY BLUE SKY", released in 2007, is now available in blue analog format, just as the album title says! The band's first album "YANKEE HOTEL FOXTROT" released in 2001 was a masterpiece and their first album with Nonesuch, and it transcended the framework of alternative country to become a rock band that embodies America. The follow-up, A GHOST IS BURN (released in 2004), won Grammy Awards in the categories of "Best Alternative Music Album" and "Best Recording Package," becoming Wilco's first Grammy Award-winning achievement and catapulting the band to global recognition. The follow-up album, "SKY BLUE SKY," was released in 2007. The album, which reached #4 on the U.S. album charts, was named the best album of the year by various media outlets including Rolling Stone, Uncut, Mojo, and BBC Radio 6 Music, and was acclaimed by Spin magazine as a "near-perfect" album. Featuring the band members assembled after 2004's A GHOST IS BORN, the album features guitarist, singer and main songwriter Jeff Tweedy, bassist This is the first time the band's ongoing lineup of guitarist, singer, and main songwriter Jeff Tweedy, bassist John Stirratt, percussionist Glenn Kotche, keyboardist Mikael Jorgensen, multi-instrumentalist Pat Sansone, and guitarist Nels Crown have come together to present this work. The self-produced album also features Jim O'Rourke as a string arranger.
