Mellow psychedelic folk from the early 70's NYC underground scene! Pete Fine, who led the fantastic psychedelic hard band, The Flow, played solo on this fantastic and ethereal sound world! In the year 1974, there was a man who went on a journey of musical adventure. Pete Fine formed his own band, The Flow. Their only album, "The Flow's Greatest Hits" (1972), a one-of-a-kind album of heavy psychedelic rock with a sense of trip and deviant art sense, was supported by enthusiasts as "the East Coast's answer to blue cheer" and was released on CD in Japan in 2023. The album was released on CD in Japan in 2023, and has been loved as a cult classic. One day, however, Pete was inspired by Bruckner's Symphony No. 8 on the radio and decided to write his own orchestral music.After many visits to New York's Lincoln Center for the Arts, where he taught himself how to read and write orchestral scores and compose music, he realized his own musical vision in "To the Day of Crystal Thoughts". Featuring Pete's 12-string acoustic guitar, strings, flute, French horn, trumpet, and other instruments, this work is a thrill of experimentation in approaching orchestral music by hand. The progressive development of "Revelation - Overture - To Sam" and the acid-pagan folk-inspired performance flap their wings from the present world to Another Dimension. Meanwhile, a new version of "Meditation," a number from The Flow era (the album's original title, On A Day Of Crystalline Thought, was taken from the lyrics), "Baijinkies," a development of "Baijinks," also from The Flow, and "Life" and "Baijinkies" also feature The hard side of The Flow is also inherited in "Life" and "Baijinkies," in which he also demonstrates his skills as an electric guitarist.After this work, Pete developed his own unique musical style that fused guitar and symphony, and it is important as a major turning point in his career. This album was pressed in 1974 in a limited edition of 100 copies, but was discarded when Pete moved from New York (he moved from place to place, settling in Tucson, Arizona). In 2000, the album was reissued by the rare German psychedelic label "Shadox" and became widely known. This reissue is the first time the album has been released in Japan. This reissue is the first time the album has been reissued in Japan, and the remastering of the sound source and the paper-jacket CD have attracted much attention from enthusiasts all over the world.
