Jun Miyake
Description:
Jun Miyake, a rare musician, has created a new sound world four years after the completion of the "Lost Memory Theatre" trilogy, the culmination of his work in the 2010s. Paris, Tokyo, New York, Rio de Janeiro, Toronto, Barcelona, Sofia... Did being tossed around by the pandemic and forced to record under a state of emergency bring forth this "boundary where the inner world meets the outer world" - a space that cannot exist anywhere? Jun Miyake's one-of-a-kind worldview, which is a cross-fertilization of all kinds of musical elements with its roots in jazz, has been accelerated to create a sound of fantasy that transcends time and space, befitting the dawn of the 2020s! Jun Miyake, who has been active in a wide range of fields including film, stage, commercials, and even providing works for global events such as the Olympics, has released his latest album, his first in four years since "Lost Memory Theatre act-3" in 2017! The previous "Lost Memory Theatre" trilogy, which won the "Music Critics Award" and "Best Album of the Year" in French and German music magazines and was highly acclaimed by the world's media, including a special program by Giles Peterson on the BBC in the UK, is now back with "Lost Memory Theatre act-3", a new album that relives the memories of various characters in the theater as an audience member invited to the theater. If the previous "Lost Memory Theatre" trilogy, which received worldwide media acclaim, including a BBC special, was an "objective" work in which we relive the memories of various characters from the perspective of the audience invited to the theater, then "Whispered Garden" is an "objective" work,It is a work from a "subjective point of view" that depicts the world around the main character (=listener) as if he/she were lost in a "garden" that is never in the same place at the same time and space and has a different shape and form. The musicians who express this one-of-a-kind worldview together with Jun Miyake are Lisa Papineau, Artur Asch, Vinicius Cantuaria, and Cosmic Voices from Bulgaria, all of whom are indispensable to the Jun Miyake sound. Also joining us this time is Dave Liebman, a legendary figure who was a central figure in the New York loft jazz scene in the 1970s and continues to lead the US jazz world today! The 16 tracks, collaborated with musicians from Paris, Tokyo, New York, Rio de Janeiro, Barcelona, Sofia (Bulgaria), and other parts of the world, will surely lead you to a new world of sound in the "garden" that exists at the "boundary where the inner world meets the outer world...
