Now and Then" is The Last Beatles Song, written and sung by John Lennon and developed by Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr, and finally completed by Paul and Ringo over 40 years later. The album features their debut single "Love Me Do" as both A-sides. The original cover art was done by famous artist Ed Ruscha. Paul's comment: "John's voice sounds so clear. I was quite impressed. It's really exciting that in 2023 we're still working on Beatles music and about to release new songs that the public hasn't heard yet. Ringo comments: "It was very emotional for all of us, because next to him coming back into the room, it was the closest we ever got to him. It was like John was there.It was novel." Olivia Harrison says: "Back in 1995, after working on the song for a few days in the studio, George felt he could not overcome the technical problems with the demo and concluded that it was impossible to finish the song to a high enough standard. Danny and I are convinced that if he were here today, he and Paul and Ringo must have wholeheartedly completed the recording of Now and Then." Sean Ono Lennon comments: "I was tremendously moved to hear that they were working together so many years after my father had been gone. This is the last song that my father, Paul, George and Ringo wrote together. This song is like a time capsule, and I feel it was meant to be."
