In 20229, Kakuno participated as a soloist in the Japan tour of the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra, considered the best in Eastern Europe, and performed "Chopin: Piano Concerto No. 1 in E minor, Op. 11" (conducted by Marin Allsop) at The Symphony Hall (Osaka). The tour, the first in 23 years, featured a total of 11 concerts, many of which were sold out, sending the whole of Japan into a frenzy. The conductor, Marin Allsopp, is Bernstein's favorite disciple and has served as music director of many famous orchestras. This monumental work features the new generation pianist Hayato Kakuno, who came into the limelight at the Chopin Competition, performing with a prestigious orchestra and a first-rate conductor from Chopin's homeland, Poland.
