The history of jazz in the 50's and 60's was a time of the establishment of various performance styles, and a wide range of fusion was seen. From the Latin hard bop of Saboo Martinez and the swingin' jazz of Django Reinhardt to the dynamic vocals of Nina Simone, Mel Torme, and others, the 50s and 60s were filled with jazz gems. The album also includes many pieces that are being used for sampling in today's club and DJ scene and are being re-evaluated.
