The astonishing live performance is now available! Cluytens visited Romania by himself to participate in the Enesco Festival, and was a guest with the Romanian Radio Symphony Orchestra. It is literally the 18th repertoire of the maestro. Unfortunately, it is in mono, but the sound quality is superior to the studio recording with the French National Radio Symphony Orchestra (March 1953) and the live recording with the Lugano Radio Symphony Orchestra (April 1965). The performance is a masterpiece, with the high tension of Cluytens, who consciously adopted an early tempo.
